On-site experiential learning at the summit of Maunakea.
Each year, participating Mauankea Scholars students visit the summit of Maunakea.
Maunakea Scholars visit two telescopes, ideally facilities where students at the school have received telescope observing time. The visit provides an opportunity for students to not only see telescopes, but to meet and interact with a variety of Maunakea Observatory staff including but not limited to astronomers.
